In order to get a full understanding of how your problem affects you, I offer a FREE one hour initial consultation. This time is used effectively so I can get a full understanding how your problems are affecting you in your daily life and so I can explain in detail how I will help you and this time also gives the opportunity for you to ask any questions which you may have. This initial consultation is also provided so that you can feel relaxed about the therapeutic process we will enter before we start working together.

Treatments offered at the wellbeing clinic include, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, neuro-linguistic programming, Counselling and Hypnotherapy and these treatments are used singularly or combined together, depending on your presenting symptoms.These lines of therapy are designed to be solution focused. We do not dwell on the past. Although an understanding of past events may be necessary, the main stay of your treatment will focuses on the hear and now and working together to help you manage in the future in a more calming and positive way.

My name is Paul Allenby and having been in private practice for nearly 10 years, I have gained a wealth of experience in helping people with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, stress, anger problems, drinking issues, fears and phobias, low confidence and low self esteem, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome and helping to achieve natural weight loss with the revolutionary hypno-band weight loss programme and smoking cessation

You may have tried many times to just 'fix' the problem all in one go and you may also have been aware how difficult that was or you may have lived with your problem for so long that you find it difficult to even imagine that life can be different for you. At the wellbeing clinic I help you to achieve your goal in small achievable steps so that as each goal is attained it gives you the strength and courage to move to the next step with a confident optimistic approach with all the support and encouragement you need to help you along.

You may already know which therapeutic treatment you wish to use and the specialised treatment available at the wellbeing clinic includes cognitive behavioural therapy, neuro-linguistic programming, counselling and hypnotherapy. I will help you to leave behind those old anxious feelings and focus on the future and getting better, to help you feel more in control and at ease so that the things which may have stopped you living your daily life in a more fulfilling way, can now help you to feel more calm and relaxed. All treatments are based in the here and now and do not dwell needlessly on the past.

I work with my clients in an ethical, empathic and non judgemental way in order to help them release the negative emotions they currently experience and treatment is carried out in a very structured way. Every session begins with an agenda that we set together, and ends with us looking at how far the objectives have been achieved.

My clinic is based in Stevenage and the consulting room is a safe environment, and everything that's discussed there is treated in absolute confidence.

I am an approved member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners, a registered member of the General Hypnotherapy Register, member of the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council, (CNHC), licensed Hypno-Band Practioner and an accredited counsellor with the National Counselling Society. Along with this I continue to attend courses for professional development to keep up my skills base with new therapeutic techniques that may come about.
